Have you heard of Mc Donald's? Have u seen a clown looking guy with red hair and striped attire?

Mc Donald's is not a stranger to anybody from Asia to the States where it originated. The globalized world out there has caused Mc Donald's to become a fast food chain outlet that can be seen in different parts of the world. Its mascot, Ronald Mc Donald is a familiar face to young kids that have grown up eating happy meals. Today, there is a whole range of hamburgers throughout the world by the corporation, from the original beef patties now come the rice patty to suit Asians' taste buds. Mc Donald's has over 31,000 restaurants in 118 countries.

Walking through some old city ruins in a town just outside of Cairo, Egypt, something that might catch your eye between the deteriorating stone pillars might just be the golden arches.

Globalization has affected peoples' diets and cultures. This western influence has caused people to turn to patties and bread rather than their traditional food source, like rice in Asia. Future generations may be seen chewing on burgers that look juicy and savoury, forgetting that bowl of white fragrant rice. French fries and cokes are now being relished bit by bit by the people. The fats, calories and salt all have become ignorant of. Kids get attracted to the toys that come in a happy meal, pestering their parents to get one for them. An example of this would certainly be the Hello Kitty craze seen in a couple of years ago when Singaporeans queued long just to get their hands on that toy.

Mc Donald's has become a real thing in this world, something that has unknowingly affected the local culture and taste buds. Are you an example of someone affected?
